Creamy Tomato Pasta
A pantry-friendly pasta with a silky tomato cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve 1 cup pasta water.
- Sauté garlic in olive oil for 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and chili flakes; simmer 10 minutes.
- Stir in cream and parmesan until smooth.
- Add pasta and enough reserved water to loosen the sauce.
Notes
Add spinach at the end for extra greens.
